Mike, Fritz and I took an evening to explore the dredge. we ran into a group of kids doing the same thing. This dredge was operating until the early 90's, I'm not sure why they shut it down.
Most of the dredges have their buckets removed, so this one is quite the sight to see them all still in a chain.
Here is another view of the end of the bucket boom, there is a scale on the boom that shows that it can reach down into the ground 70'
