On this edge of town is the Cabo Pulmo Divers boat launch, and beside that is the Palapa on the Beach,
A fantastic resturaunt set so close to the beach that your feet are comforted by sand as you dine,
and the surf on the shore is your immediate backdrop.
From the dive shop's fishing tours, they serve up the local catch of the day.
Since the distance between the boat and the resturaunt is no more than 20 yards, it just dosen't get any fresher than that!
Normally open for lunch only, This quickly became my favorite spot for my noon meal.
Occasionally they opened for dinner, and with the evening sky, and candles on the tables,
there was just no better place to dine.
Of course I didn't know that on my first day, so I wandered the beach to the other end of town,
where I used the Cabo Pulmo Dive Center's boat launch ally to head back to the car.
During my stay, I made frequent trips to the beach via this rout.
I must say, it took me longer than it should have to go find my hosts, Clint and Marly at the Cabo Pulmo Casas.
I just couldn't stop wandering around getting familar with the town and it's atmosphere which was so strange to me.
I kick myself for not having taken a photo of them in front of there charming place.
we spent several wonderful evenings on their porch visiting, and I am delighted to have left Cabo Pulmo with new friends.
After meeting Clint and Marly they took me up to The "Casa Del Sol" House of the sun.
Here we are going though the gate enclosing a large and spacious development, mostly of
vacation homes amazingly empty this time of year. Apparently I had hit the perfect off season.
