Enough of that, Let's hit the beach! This is one of the two public accesses.
and is directly across the street from the the gated comunity in which I stayed.
It is also the boat launch for the Cabo Pulmo Divers.

This is the beach in front of Cabo Pulmo.
The sand is mingled with stones, which is very descriptive of the lifestyle here,
this is not the stark, perfect beaches and white washed mega resort of the congested tropical tourist destinations.
This is real life. The people who dwell along this shore are residents, they live and work here,
and the integration of tourism is here as an after thought, not a purpose.
As a tourist, I feel like I have been invited into a family of the locals. and not like
I have rented a condo on the beach to make me feel pampered and wealthy.
To me this is perfect. This is what I seek out, and to have found this secret spot is fortunate.

Continuing on down the beach, I passed the beached pangas of the Cabo Pulmo Divers and suddenly
found myself on the outskirts of town. I climbed up the sand bank to get this photo.
As you can see there is a beautiful stretch of shoreline free of houses, let alone condos and people.
It was rare to see more than 5 people on the beach on any day the entire time I was there!

The evening sun felt so warm on my fish belly white skin, but after about 20 minuets I knew I needed to get indoors,
So I turned around and followed my tracks back to town.
